Thanks to the support of Port Coquitlam Neighbourhood Small Grants, an online cooking class was successfully held with the participation of five women, who joined from their homes to learn how to prepare Peruvian-style Pesto (Tallarines Verdes).

Each participant received a full set of ingredients, enough to prepare four servings per person. The class included Peruvian participants as well as women from other nationalities, all of whom were delighted to learn how to cook a traditional and iconic Peruvian dish.

The event was promoted through the Facebook group “Port Coquitlam Community on Facebook ”, where it was very well received by the community and reached full registration.

During the class, we not only talk about cooking, we also shared all types of tips, we make new connections, and had lot of laughs.

Overall, the experience was very positive. Participants shared kind feedback messages, sent photos of their finished dishes, and expressed interest in attending future Peruvian cooking classes.
