The Cleveland family’s goal was to “host a party and to foster relationships in our community” with a focus on fire safety and prevention.
After setting a date with the neighbours and with the sunny weather, forty-five neighbours shared stories, learned, and had a good time.
“This was a wonderful occasion for residents to mix and mingle as well as meet and welcome new residents. We definitely had the opportunity to build community spirit within our small complex”. The conversations continued well past the day with a cleanup planned in and around the complex with the help of community volunteers. “We are so grateful to the City of Penticton and the Community Foundation for helping make this event possible”.
