Our event is a Gathering for the local pagan community. We were so lucky to again be able to use the Derek Doubleday Arboretum. It’s a good price and so lovely.
We were really pleased to see so many faces from years past. We really felt the emergence of a community that could reply on each other. Many of them talked about smaller groups and gatherings that have branched out after they connected at our events. It gives us such happiness to know that these events can continue to affect the community positively long after they are over.
New this year we had a LGBTQ+ area. They had their own space with items oriented towards celebrating diversity, affirming and positive messages to share, and healing/cleansing. We hope to do more in this direction in the future celebrating all our diverse members.
As we have before we had an open Tarot session where members could learn and share skills. We also did a small take home project of moon water bottles. Alas it was a bit too cloudy to use our telescope. However, we extended beyond the end time of our event with a lovely evening walk through the Arboretum. Making new friends and enjoying the beauty of Langley.
We were pleasantly surprised by a visit from Langley Advance Times, and hope to share the future article with you soon.
Thanks for giving us a safe space, you’ll never know how much it means to all of us.
