What a wonderful afternoon we had at our cardmaking workshop in Hope! The Read Right Society was kind enough to give us a free venue for the event! We had tables set up and I brought the tools and supplies we needed for everyone to create with. Creating handmade greeting cards is such a fun, relaxing activity and sending your completed cards to someone can really make their day! The participants made 3 cards each and we all made some new friends along the way! I loved seeing the look on the participants’ faces as they admired their finished creations and realized that they were capable of making something truly beautiful!
One lady had her sister visiting from the Ukraine. When her sister won our door prize, a cardmaking kit, she had tears of joy in her eyes! It was so moving to see her gratitude!
We also enjoyed some refreshments and cookies. It was so much fun!
Thank you so much to Neighbourhood Small Grants for providing the funds for our event and I hope to do it again soon!
