We hosted a neighbourhood Block Party!
It was a great day to get outside and bond with our neighbours through food, families and activities like face-painting, soccer, bubble blowing and street (chalk) art.
As well as the food and drinks provided by the grant, we encouraged everyone to bring their favourite salad and snacks.
We even had someone make a watermelon keg with tasty watermelon juice inside!
One of our neighbours is a paramedic and organized an extra special treat for the kids by getting the truck to stop by so they could all climb on board and see what goes on inside! It was definitely the highlight of the day!
The whole event was a huge success and we continue to see the blessings of this day; a friendly wave in the street now turns to friendly conversation from the friends we made through the Neighbourhood Block Party.
