“Lavender Love” ran over 2 months in 2020, where 30 planters were bought, filled with organic soil & plants, and distributed to Artisan Square tenants & merchants in Artisan Square on Bowen Island. All in all we brought some smiles & joy to the Artisan Square tenants and the public that visits. Roughly 42 people were directly involved which met our goal.
Organic soil was bought from local merchant Cameron Rolfe, thanks to a 25% savings, and all plants were bought from Bowen Island Flower Shop at their cost. As a result, we were able to almost double the original goal.
Overall we were pleased with the result and it was a lot of fun to do. Memorable moments or surprises: When we asked for photos with the plants, we thought they’d be pretty basic. Many really had fun with the picture. Really pleased to see.
