Living Room Arts, The Heights is a community event that transforms residential spaces into alternative art spaces, connecting diverse populations who may not ordinarily go to galleries or museums, and creating opportunities for local artists to display their work and connect in an intimate way with our neighbours. In order to keep bringing a similar experience of connectedness while staying apart physically, the project shifted this year to a virtual space. In total, we brought over 100+ people together in the Burnaby Heights neighbourhood to enjoy art and photography workshops, music performances, storytelling, and more. It was a challenge to shift our event online, but with some planning and a great support network, we were able to recreate long overdue moments of connection. We hope you enjoy our story and click the photo below for a glimpse into Living Room Arts.
