As a writer and therapist, I often work in isolation, so it was such a treat to get to know my neighbours!
I teamed up with our next-door neighbour, drew up some invites and we went together to deliver them door to door. Day of, we blew up some balloons, hung some signs, laid out a WHOLE LOT OF TASTY SNACKS, and that was that! Easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy as my niece would say.
About 30 folks came. It was so cool to get to know one another, and to meet the teen at the end of our street who’d built a ‘stick library’ for all the local dogs!
