Musqueam housing “Winter is Coming” event was held on the Musqueam reserve on October 28th, 2021. The event goal of this event was to raise awareness about conserving energy and health and safety concerns during the winter months. Different tables were set at the Musqueam cultural center with different themes (safety, energy conservations, and rebates) that provided information to the membership. We had about 100 Musqueam members at our event. Additionally we had representation from UBC, Fortis BC, BC Hydro, Aboriginal Housing Management Association (AHMA), BC Housing, and First Nations’ Emergency Services Society of British Columbia (FNESS).
