Thanks to the neighborhood small grant we were able to host our annual neighborhood Holiday Lights house decorating contest and host a gathering to decorate ornaments for the “wishing tree” located in our local playground. The grant helped pay for hot drinks & snacks + decorations. The prize for the contest was provided by a local business. The winners of the 2020 house decorating contest chose the winners for 2021. Next year we will aim for two prizes, the second prize awarded through an online vote. We were lucky with beautiful weather & coincidently the gathering coincided with Santa driving by with the local fire department. It was a blast and wonderful to see so many neighbors, safely outdoors after Covid restrictions.
