We had a wonderful summer BBQ party with kind support from the NSG fund. This event united the neighborhood in a better way and brought good relationships among neighbors.
How was it done?
Rough 2 months prior to the event, a small group of volunteers started planning and preparing for the event. The date was confirmed and the tasks were assigned. We posted the notice via paper and social media as well.
A few days before the event day, volunteers went to different superstores to buy food and materials. On the event day, we started the decorations early in the morning. Kids were organized to blow the balloons and volunteers spontaneously helped prepare the table, the BBQ oven, the food, the dessert, and the drinks. When people came, we talked, laughed, and had a great time.
