Our event was a block party to bring our neighbours together. A few of us are involved in Block Watch but felt that we needed to get to know our neighbours so that we could feel unified in our community. We invited all our neighbours by leaving flyers at their homes, rented carnival games, helped kids make a piñata (and destroy it), and had a good spread of food including a friendship salad into which neighbours added their own ingredient. It was a fun community building event.
