Kickball and Hotdogs Neighbourhood Gatherings

Throughout the month of August, we ran a weekly event called Kickball and Hotdogs for the Olympic Village neighbourhood. There are a lot of people who live here, but many are disconnected and lonely. We wanted to do something that would bring people together, something to help a sense of belonging and community to our neighbourhood. Through the gatherings we met about 20 people who were so grateful for the chance to hang out, laugh together, and get to know each other better. We are grateful for the grant that made this story possible! We hope to this again in the near future!
