The people in my neighborhood have always known one another. Thanks to the park right beside our complex, people of all ages gather there for recreational and socializing purposes. Even though we chit chat and smile to one another, we may not know each other beyond which unit we live in.
The neighborhood block party created an opportunity for everyone to talk to one another over food and drinks. The kids hung out with one another while the adults got to know the different families that make up this neighborhood. Everyone volunteered to help set up for the event to make it a success.
By the end of the party, the neighbors got to know each other well by sharing food and laughed together. We even set up a group chat to keep each other in constant contact and be informed of future events, or simply look out for one another. The party was a great success.

Neighbourhood Small Grants

We believe the best people to effect change in a community are the ones within it. And when we can make money less of an issue in doing so, it allows so many more kinds of ideas to shine.
