There are five community gardens that exist in the West End of Vancouver yet there is no networking, learning or resource-sharing among them. I proposed an event that would bring all the gardens together, a social event wandering through the garden plots, bringing and getting seeds and seedlings to share, with live music.
We had 16 volunteers mixed from all the gardens, who wandered among the gardeners with cheese and vegetable trays, and served beverages indoors in a community room, and approximately 65 all together who showed up.
