Our goal was to gather our condo complex and the surrounding Coquitlam area together so they could get to know the Poets and each other. The challenge was to spread the word and gather an audience. We did this by booking the room, setting a time, putting up posters in the building and around in the surrounding community, as well as doing word-of-mouth. One thing I will do next time is to make phone call reminders to potential audience members, as far as I am able.

The day of the Show was a beautiful and sunny, 21-degree day. This Show was supported by Neighborhood Small Grants. There were 11 people in attendance. There was the guest book table, the prize table, the Storybook game, and a simply scrumptious treat table! The doors opened at 5:45pm, and the Show was from 6:10- 7:10pm (we waited for an audience member to arrive). The Show consisted of some jokes, an interactive poem, a free draw, and lots of great pet poetry. There was lots of laughter as the Poets wrote some funny poetic stories about pets, that everyone could relate to.
