On November 19th, the Qayqayt school community was invited to attend a Community-Building event at the school to celebrate the diverse cultures of Qayqayt and the recent installation of our Phase 1 play structure (not yet open).
The event included screening of short films in English and French, and free food (including sushi, stir fry, samosas, pakoras, pizza, fruit, and dessert). Approximately 100 people attended and a good time was had by all!
This event was successful in bringing together the Qayqayt community for a relaxed evening of food, friendship, films and fun! The Qayqayt Community greatly appreciates the generosity of the Vancouver Foundation and Neighbourhood Small Grants program. Without this funding, we would not have been able to host this community-building event.
