The event was a celebration of Ramadan and Eid. It was attended by more than 220 people, of which more than 1/3 were children. The event was inaugurated by MLA John Yap and attended by Councillor Bill McNulty.
In addition to the information table, the event was full of interactive activities that were related to the events celebrated and aimed at explaining and familiarizing the public with these events. Activities included 5 arts and crafts tables, 1 contest table, face painting and Henna stands.
We also had a clown/magician who integrated her stories with Ramadan and Eid. We also had a balloon twister.
The event was a very happy and cheerful event that generated many positive comments like:
– very enjoyable
– well organized
– included different people from different cultural background.
