This is my third time working with YNSG, to host resin workshops! Thank you so much.
I hosted two workshops on the same day, both of them one and a half hours long. My idea was to connect with teens in our neighborhood, and to share skills with them on how to work with UV resin safely. There were around 4-5 attendees for each workshop, ranging from ages 11-14. In the beginning of all the workshops, I explained the possible risks of using UV resin as well as how to use it safely. Attendees made multiple charms with resin and used different tools to customize their own keychains. They were also able to express their creativity by making earrings, magnets, pins, and other resin trinkets.
I’m also hosting workshops for parties and other events! If you’re interested please email: emealchemy@gmail.com
I’ve learned so much through this project and heard good feedback from attendees. With the demand for more make and take sessions for teens, I hope to have a chance to do more in the future. Thanks to Youth Neighborhood Small Grants Richmond for giving me this opportunity to serve my neighborhood yet again, it couldn’t be done without them!
