In 2021 members of our Rotary Club of Sechelt joined the Suzuki Foundation Butterflyway Rangers Program. They provided training and information while the Rotary Club donated funds. From the Spring till the Fall of 2022 we created 14 Pollinator Friendly Gardens across Sechelt! In the Spring of 2023 we gratefully received a Neighbourhood Small Grant and supported by terrific Volunteers we were able to refresh the existing gardens and create many more! We have just finished sowing seeds in several of them and look forward to the seedlings poking up their heads in the Spring. We have had much interest expressed in expanding the program across the Sunshine Coast next year and are pleased that we have increased the Communities’ awareness of the need for bringing pollinators back to our Coast!
