Our co-op has become a family co-op over the years as one in four of the unites have kids. With busy families with kids, we don’t really get to spend the time together other than yearly events like Canada Day and the Christmas Dinner parties.
We also have new members recently moved into our co-op in the past few years and most members have not really had the time to get to know them.
We got the small grant to have a pizza party in the backyard for all members. We go the kids to make the poster the week before the event. Had some of them go shopping with us for the game prizes.
The big part of this event was to build a sense of friendships and pride through getting to know our Sojourn Co-Op Members. We did what we set out to do and that was to have families come together and spent the quality time that the kids will remember when they are grown up.
