We live in a 55+ building in BC Housing. It has 90 units that come from different countries and cultures, most of them are alone or with their spouses who are alone or disabled. No one knew each other. One day I decided to have a program in the party room so that everyone could get to know each other, make friends and connect with each other. My program included meditation, storytelling and getting to know each other, potluck, dancing and music. 40 people participated and everyone was very happy, they made friends with their neighbors, connected and for 3 years we have been having a program every two to three months that everyone loves. We got to know the cultures and dance of different countries.
I am so happy to made joy and happiness for them .
