The weather was beautiful, sunny and perfect for the park. Families came out listen and dance to music. Families had free snacks and water to enjoy. kids enjoyed a magic show, face painting, craft area and a water fight at the end. Feedback was great, families were excited to get out and connect with the community. I say it was a success.
We had our head volunteer do the connecting with the local talent and community groups two week before event. She also did the Mc of the Event. I did the writing of the grant and picking up supplies and day of work.
There was two of us that took over the planning but had about 15-20 volunteer to make the event special and bigger ever year.
I enjoyed giving back to the community were we can give families opportunity to spend time together.
