My story is of building a free little library and puzzle exchange for my neighbourhood. I had lots of fun planning how I wanted it to look, there are many amazing ideas out there and seeing them all made it a challenge. I decided to stay with my original idea of my library having a kid section as well as an adult section. We have lots of kids in the neighbourhood and I think I having a kid section is a wonderful a cost free way to keep kids excited about reading and doing puzzles. Another struggle I was met with as the area I originally planned to put my library didn’t work out. It took some planning but I was able to find another great location for my library that is easily accessible and will create a great flowery area in the summer. Overall my library worked out wonderfully and I am very excited to have had the opportunity to build it and have the chance to bring the neighbours together! I was able to include a family member in the building process who hasn’t had the experience of building something before, that was really fun for me and for her, using power tools was lots of fun for her. I added a photo of my completed vision as well as a few photos of the process. I am unable to access my completed photos at this time but I am able to send them in when I return home. Thank you again for this amazing opportunity, I can’t wait to continue to see how it can continue to grow our neighbourhood!
