Canada Day! what a wonderful day to gather with friends to celebrate this wonderful country we call home. Every year we plan a celebration that allows all our residents to have a wonderful day visiting with their neighbours. This year with the Small Neighbourhood Grant we were able to have a wonderful barbecue for residents, it was so appreciated and enjoyed by the 90 people that attended. A residents son provided music and residents donated 30 door prizes, which added to the fun for our event. We recognize that isolation is a problem with our seniors community and events that like this allows for everyone to come out and enjoy some quality time with friends. The feedback from our event was so positive and we look forward to hosting more similar events in the future as we encourage everyone to come and enjoy each others company.
