On October 25, the Learn, Move & Play! community event was held at Thompson Community Centre, bringing children together for a fun and educational afternoon.

The youth volunteers prepared and delivered interactive presentations on important safety topics, including what to do if children get lost, how to respond when approached by a stranger, and what to do if they get hurt when no one is around. Through interactive quizzes, discussions, and real-life examples, the children learned practical safety skills in a fun and engaging way.

The event also featured a variety of exciting games, music, dancing, and creative activities. During the arts and crafts session, children enjoyed making colourful bracelets and decorating their own bookmarks to take home. Bracelet-making was especially popular among both boys and girls, and everyone had fun expressing their creativity. The children also participated enthusiastically in group games, sharing lots of laughter and excitement throughout the afternoon. Hot dogs and snacks were provided for everyone to enjoy.

Overall, it was a wonderful afternoon filled with learning, creativity, laughter, and new friendships. The event helped children build confidence, develop safety awareness, and connect with others in the community. It also provided a meaningful opportunity for youth volunteers to strengthen their leadership, teamwork, and communication skills while making a positive impact on the community.
