I am a Butterfly Ranger with the Butterfly Way Project and this was the second year for my boulevard pollinator garden. I was able to expand it to the full length of my boulevard with assistance digging and planting more native plants. Plants include spiraea betulifolia Birchleaf, nodding onion, fringe cups, fool’s onion, salal, Douglas aster, yarrow, echinacea, Joe Pye Weed, blue and white camassia, tulips, and fern leaf bleeding heart. It was wonderful to see the bees and hummingbirds and a few butterflies and neighbours enjoying the flowers. I am very grateful for receiving the grant to enable me to expand the pollinator bed. The flowers will continue to flourish and beautify the neighbourhood thanks to this grant.
