Members of our King Edward Bay community gathered on October 29 to plant the 79 plants we had purchased from Nats’ Nursery. There were 14 participants who together made short work of the planting. We planted all of the plants in just over an hour.
This was an excellent opportunity for our community to come together and make our home a better place. Everyone enjoyed themselves and that community building in itself made the project a success.
We learned that projects such as this are very beneficial for us as individuals and for improving our community. As you can see from the photos, people really did enjoy themselves and that was the truly memorable aspect of the project. In time we will see how the plants thrive and add to our environment, but for now, the fact we could all work together on a common goal made it a real success.
