We had a perfect day for our barbecue. The sun was shining, the food was grilling, and everyone was happy. We had some special guests from the Richmond RCMP BlockWatch: Rita Leung, Co-Ordinator, Constable Bryson and Corporal Virk, members of the RCMP, Richmond Division.
They joined us to participate in giving our owners some insight into keeping our property and selves safe. Rita was the moderator and the RCMP responded to questions from the owners. Their emphasis was on keeping a watchful eye and not to hesitate to report things that do not feel right. M&M Foods supplied the burger barbecue, which was enjoyed by all. We had a supply of balloons for the children, and one of the mothers volunteered her expertise in turning the balloons into animals for the kids.
It was enjoyed by kids and adults alike. We were very thankful to the Neighbourhood Small Grants program for their contribution towards the expenses we incurred to host this event.
