The “Clenes Hall Beautification” grant project aimed to enhance the outdoor environment surrounding the local community hall by improving the landscaping and creating an inviting space for all members to enjoy. This project involved the revitalization of the grounds, pulling up the old landscaping fabric, pulling the weeds, replacoing the fabric, and adding gravel. We had great community engagement by encouraging local volunteers to participate, fostering a sense of ownership and pride, strengthening community ties while creating a sustainable and beautiful outdoor area that can be enjoyed for years to come. We faced a challenge when the person donating the gravel didn’t follow though until the weather got cold, and November 30 was fast approaching. As a result, although the grant monies were spent on the landscape fabric, and lunch for the volunteers, the donated decorative rock that has been dontaed is not yet done. this final leg of the project will be done in the spring.
