On behalf of Millstream residents (Lee St, Hilltop Rd, Karn Ave, Mavis Ave, and Albion Cres), we would like to thank CBT and the Neighbourhood Small Grant program for making our community BBQ possible.
On April 26, 2025, residents gathered at the end of Albion Crescent to share a meal and connect.
We also hosted staff from the ACRD office to share some information about the aging water infrastructure in our neighbourhood. The community BBQ allowed residents a chance to ask questions about possible solutions the ACRD Board of Directors is considering and provide feedback directly to staff about the aging infrastructure.
The weekend before the gathering, Vaida Siga, Director Electoral Area C, assisted with delivering personal invitations to all houses and suites within the Millstream community off of Lee Street.
Approximately 60-70 residents attended, including children and seniors. Grant funds were used to purchase food for the BBQ. ACRD set up a table and display. Many residents hope that we can have another community BBQ this fall.
