This is the third in a series of community engagement talks with Q&A with Haa’yuups (Ron Hamilton) and the community of Port Alberni. The theme of this talk is: The Meaning of Names. Organized by local community activists dedicated to promoting meaningful discussion between Nuuchahnulth and the community of Port Alberni.
The 3 public discussions were very well received, having been attended by 60, 95, and 40 attendees respectively. Community members participated in a dynamic Q&A, followed by socializing over snacks and beverages. These important discussions were videotaped for their important historical value.
