Our first Community Family Event on Oct 13, 2024 was completely successful. The neighborhoods and families came to got together and got to know each other. We had over 15-20 families join the event. Luckily with small funds, we were able to get a big cake, fruits, some foods, chips, and the gifts for the kids. The families brought extra food for a potluck party, so that there was enough for the 60+ people. Some families also assisted in setting up and serving food to the large group. I was so grateful for their generosity and time. Everyone enjoyed a wonderful time together.
It was a beautiful day, the kids played at a playground, and some kids played soccer with the dads, while others enjoyed meeting with other moms to support each other. I was amazed and learned how well we all came together. Our event was on the Thanksgiving long weekend, which made our family event even more special.
Every family was satisfied and grateful with the opportunity provided. We are looking forward to continuing the community family event every year.
