My project is ‘Enjoy Better Life’. It aimed to support seniors living and healthy aging. It was a free event for people aged 65+ and who are living in South Vancouver. It was held on February 11, 2025 at Killarney Community Centre. 19 people registered for the event. The speaker was successfully created a highly engaging atmosphere. He ignited meaningful and engaging conversations regarding healthy aging. Participants showed great interest and highly involved in discussion. Lots of participants shared their experience, concerns and questions in regard to maintain healthy lifestyle.
Next, the speaker shared useful information relating to aging in place. Lots useful resources had been shared, such as Snow Removal Service, Seniors’ Grocery Shopping Service and Transportation Service. Seniors found that those information was very practical because February is winter time and it just snowed few days ago. They showed high concerns regarding snow removal. Some participants are older adults. They found the information on Seniors’ Grocery Shopping Service and Transportation Service were particularly helpful. Some participants came with cranes. They wanted to know how to maintain sustainable lifestyle at their own home. They were glad that my project gave them great help.
Before we joined the Seniors’ Lunch at Killarney Community Centre, they all received a healthy goody bags. Although it was the first time they met one another, they mingled very well. Our project planned to end in 2 hours. It ended up 2.5 hours.

To conclude, my project was a big success. Participants got lots of useful and practical information regarding healthy aging and resources in the community. Participants were able to engage and connect with other people in a safe and pleasant environment.
