‘Enjoy Better Life’ was held successfully on July 8, 2025, at Killarney Community Centre. Twenty people signed up for the event and eighteen of them showed up. We had a well-mix of gender. One third of them were male and the remaining were female, ranging from 60 to 85. They were from different ethnic groups, such as Fiji, India, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong and Canada.
Although it was the first time they came together, they showed great interest in the topic. The speaker did an excellent job. He ignited lots of meaningful discussions, led them to think deeper about their life, and provided lots of practical and useful suggestions . All participants were very attentive and highly involved throughout the workshop. They had lots of sharing. They had lots of discussions on how to improve life and obtain a qualitative lifestyle. All seniors gave thumbs up to the speaker. They all enjoyed the workshop and the activities. At the end of the workshop, they gave a compliment and a big applause to the speaker.
Afterwards, seniors did questionnaires, received goody bags and had lunch together. They enjoyed the food and had a good time together. They made new friends and continued to share what they learned in the workshop and what they encountered in life.
A lady told me that her husband liked the workshop very much. She said her husband was usually very quiet and did not say much. Yet in my workshop, he asked questions and even gave me his email.
Another lady told me that she was impressed by my workshop. She said people usually left right away at the end of the event. She found it was different here: she felt the very welcoming atmosphere and the bond.
