Children learn best through hands on learning by using their senses.  Seeing, touching, hearing, smelling and tasting are great ways for children to explore their environment and process the world around them.  This workshop will discuss how children develop socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively through sensory play.  Caregivers are encouraged to attend with their children.  The first half of the workshop will be a seminar and group discussions for the adults while children play in a separate room staffed by Early Childhood Educators.  The second half of the workshop will be a time for families to play and explore a room full of sensory materials.
