There are a lot of young children in our neighbourhood. Usually, on Halloween, there are kids running all over the place trick or treating but this year everyone was feeling uncertain about whether they would participate. The mood leading up to Halloween was definitely not the same as in other years. Our family wanted to make sure that the kids still all had something a little special. With help from our grant, we put together Halloween gift buckets and delivered them to homes with young children. It was a lot of fun seeing their faces light up! As we went up and down the street, some neighbours who were outside joined in and helped with the deliveries. After we made our deliveries we ran back home and made a few more gift bags for grandkids that were visiting the area. It feels a bit more like Halloween now!
