On December 15th, we gathered the neighbourhood for a Christmas party, wanting to make a fun afternoon for all. Given the weather was cold, we hosted inside the clubhouse from the community and decorated it for the party. Food, snacks, and a small fun fortune wheel were offered and all who joined us had a great and fun afternoon
A few volunteers from the community helped. We had a few planning meetings and decided the time, location, ways of communicating, shopping list, budget, and the task assignments.
The biggest challenge was the short lead time. When we got the approval, it left us less than 2 months to plan the event. With help from all volunteers, we made a quick turnaround by making the planning decisions quickly. All helped with full hearts which made it successful!
