We had wonderful late summer weather for an evening barbecue for our Block Watch group. We added five new members to the group and are now up to about 25. The Vancouver Police Department graciously attended and gave us a brief presentation about their highly successful Project 529 program that has decreased bicycle thefts and led to more stolen bicycles being returned to their owners.
