Meet and Greet – with introduction on meditation
We’ve organized this event with the help of Hindu Buddhist Foundation of Canada (HBFC) and Isha Foundation (IF). HBFC has provide us the venue, 12351 Winram Road, Surrey BC and trained volunteers, from Isha Foundation, introduced the basics of meditation.
The life is full of stress and only medication may not be sufficient to lead many of us towards a peaceful life. Meditation may help further in this regard. Therefore, this get-together was intended to help with not only to increase network among people but also to help them towards a meaningful life.
About 50 people including volunteers have been participated in the program and enjoyed nice get together in the summer. All participants enjoyed the presentation and get together. They were willing to have another programme like this with more time along with practice/practical too.
This is our first project funded from Neighbourhood Small Grant and it was very helpful. From our perspective the program went well and we are encouraged to have another program. The living style of world is changing and it is decreasing interaction among people. This way we are loosing our sense of humanity and becoming more mechanical. These kind of event are very helpful to revive society. We should be organizing more of these type of programs that helps people to bring together.
In conclusion, we’re very encouraged with the success of the program and thankful to Neighbourhood Small Grant Project for the support.
