Event
We were first introduced to NSB by our neighbour Rachel, she had created an event earlier before. We thought that a music festival would be great and it would be even better outside in the sun. We thought at first that we should just invite everyone we know has a talent, but there were a lot of repeats so we decided to only invite the ones who are very talented or ones that we wanted to encourage.
Our neighbour Rachel played a big part in helping us plan, my friend Madison helped make the flyers, make some decorations, crochet a few items for the prizes, and help write part of this story. Madison and my parents helped a lot by driving us to places to get what we needed and helped us put everything in place right before the show started.
The event started and everyone arrived, we gave out tickets so at the end of the day, we will take tickets out at random and whoever ticket that was, will receive prizes. The first show was our neighborhood friend Sarah and Rachel performing a dance to a song called Small City Summer. It was an amazing dance and was very fun to watch. Next was Iris performing a piano performance called The Summersault King, a very uplifting song. Next was Anthony performing heaven on the drums, it was very loud and exciting. After that, we had Madison performing a piano jazz song, Feeling Good.
After her performance, we had a fun game to name that song. We played new and old songs for the audience to guess. Everyone was really competitive and the atmosphere was really exciting. You would just see hands shooting up and someone yelling the song name. For the last song we played the most popular song ever called Never Gonna Give You Up and Rick rolled everyone.
After the games, Ryan performed What Makes You Beautiful on the electric guitar and it was very funny when three of the audience started singing along. Then Cassidy performed chinese kung fu yong chun quan and started punching wood, everyone it was really cool to watch wooden boards break in half. Then it was Madison and me (Nathan) performing a piano duet named Hungarian Dance. Evelyn was the last song before out game, and performed Vals on the guitar
When we finished performing we had our last games, Charades and Ring Toss. We played Charades and we had Alex host the game and we split up into two teams and had them guess the word. Everyone was screaming random words and it was really fun.
Ring Toss was successful, we had the twister mat and put prizes on each circle. It was a pretty good idea and the game was really well organized. Then we had Drako performing hip hop. He is the number one dancer in the world for his age and he won his first global tournament in Poland. Next we had Brianna doing gymnastics to the song Houdini. She did lots of back and front walkovers. It was pretty impressive.
In the end everyone was happy and satisfied with the results.
