Notch Hill Hall’s Children’s Christmas party held on December 7th. We registered 60 children for this event. This much loved annual party has been celebrated for close to 100 years.
This grant was used to purchase refreshments and supplies for the kitchen, items needed for the craft and face painting tables, and items for the Christmas stockings. It was also used to obtain toys and items for door prizes and our stuffy table. Each child got to take home a stuffy of their choice. We purchased these items at thrift stores and had some of these donated. I gave a gift card to Santa and Mrs Claus in appreciation and boxed chocolates to Santa’s driver. The south Shuswap Library donated books for our book table and received chocolates. I gave Merci chocolates to each volunteer who helped at our event. Without our volunteers events like this party would never happen. I also gave $150 to the hall for rental.
We received many positive comments from the parents thanking me for hosting this party. Many of them attended these parties when they were children and now their children and grandchildren do.
Memories to be continued.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
