Our neighbourhood pig roast was a smashing hit!! We had almost 100 people in attendance!
We were proud and excited to share the good news of the grant with everybody, and people helped offset the cost by turning it into a potluck! We had so much fun with familiar faces and people who had just moved into the neighbourhood. It was great seeing the children playing and the new neighbours getting to know everybody.
We had a couple of people go door to door, giving out invitations. We had one person coordinate what was needed, so when people asked what was needed, we had plenty of food, cutlery, plates, condiments, tables, chairs, and you name it, everybody pitched in!! We had a games coordinator and a food coordinator, and everybody had a blast.
