Thanks to receiving a Neighbourhood Small Grant, our small strata community in Oliver spent a sunny late afternoon getting to know one another better and meeting some neighbours for the first time! We BBQ’d burgers and hotdogs and some contributed to the potluck their favorite dish. Each unit in the complex chose from an array of flowering plants, herbs and succulents to create their own beautiful planter to take home. The kids also got their own mini pot and planted their very own planter. While we ate, planted and visited we were treated by one of the musically talented residents playing his guitar and singing. After dinner, we has a fun dessert table with ice cream toppings…the kids especially enjoyed this! To top it off, three very lucky units won “door” prizes! It was plenty of FUN had by all.

Neighbourhood Small Grants

We believe the best people to effect change in a community are the ones within it. And when we can make money less of an issue in doing so, it allows so many more kinds of ideas to shine.
