Dear Neighbourhood Grants Society:
Thank you so much for helping us put on the Best Backyard Music Festival. We had around 300 neighbours and friends gathering together to enjoy a full day of live music, local crafts, food and drinks all on our one lone acre here in the farming community of Port Kells.
Eight different Fraser Valley acts entertained our guests on a beautiful sunny day. Our nearby food truck, Memphis Mike’s BBQ, served meals, we served beer from the Dead Frog brewery just down the road, and crafters and artisans provided an extra experience for everyone.
We are pleased to report that the grant money made a huge difference for us in being able to put this event on. There are many costs in logistics that most people are not aware of, and formerly we have paid for all of this ourselves.
Thank you so much for supporting neighbourhood get-togethers. Our community is spread out, and this provided a meeting spot for us to shake hands and share stories.
