Good morning,
Above all, I want to thank you for the opportunity to have been selected to participate in the “Neighborhood Small Grant” project. Also, I want to extend my thanks to local organizations such as: The Boundary Lodge, The Silver Kettle, The Grand Forks Seniors Association, The Red Hat Ladies of the Boundary, The Boundary Museum, The ladies of the USCC, our bakers (Jason and Sam) , and the Transit Services of the Boundary Area.
Unfortunately, due to weather conditions, the event could not be held for all the scheduled days, however, the 5 days (Jul 04, Aug 15, 22, 29 and Sep 05) brought a lot of satisfaction to all the participants, some of whom brought historical objects to the events and shared with everyone the stories behind such objects.
I also want to thank everyone who brought dishes to the potluck lunches, which happened spontaneously. We enjoyed bread fresh from the oven, butter made during the event, homemade jam prepared with local fruits, salads, desserts, AND my delicious Lapsha.
I hope that this event continues for many years, it is a very gratifying experience and it is a small way to thank all the seniors, who with great effort created the conditions for the benefits that Canada provides to everyone.
Thank you for this experience.
Sincerely,
Hugo Del Aguila
