Shuttle Skills is a program designed for elementary and secondary school students who want to learn and enjoy the wonderful sport of Badminton! First, we had to plan the program. A group of friends and I came together to prepare and plan for the program. While some of us were deciding the dates and locations, the rest were designing a poster and making a Google Form for people to sign up. After that, we used the poster and asked some of our friends by messaging them if they were interested in joining the program. This process continued until the first day. We didn’t face many challenges when running the program but struggled with the limited number of courts because we had so many people. I solved this challenge by rotating people to give everyone a fair amount of playing and practicing time. In the first week, I taught them how to swing a racket, then footwork the next week, followed by drop shots, and in the final week, I taught them how to smash. Everything went smoothly, and we didn’t encounter any more massive road bumps. Overall, Shuttle Skills was a great program and it was able to help and teach many players the beautiful sport that is Badminton!
