The creation of new garden spaces and the planting of veggies in the community garden went very well.
Many community members participated in the preparation and/or planting events. This project will grow local food and increase greening in a section of the park which was only gravel. This will provide ongoing environmental and community benefits and park beautification for years. This will improve access to nature for those who come to the park.
Here is a social media post thanking the Greenest City grant from Neighbourhood Small Grants Network https://www.facebook.com/groups/1420541424796611/permalink/2240611076122971/
These events and community benefits were only possible with the greatly appreciated Greenest City Neighbourhood Small Grant.
Thanks so much!
