On December 3rd, 2022, we welcomed our neighbours into our amenities room for a Winter Party! It was our first holiday party in years, and everyone was excited to gather to celebrate the winter season. Our community has a social committee, so our team went to work to plan, organize and set up our communal amenities room so that we could celebrate together. We decorated the space with trees with white lights, strung ornaments from the ceiling, and decorated tables with fresh greenery and candles in mason jars. We chose a nature theme for our holiday party so that it was welcoming and inviting to everyone.
With the support of the NSG grant, we were able to provide all the food for our celebration which was a welcomed treat for our community. We supported our local stores with the purchase of our food and drinks. One of our neighbours supported us by putting together two door prizes which we awarded at the end of the evening. We also had a generous donation of a Saje diffuser from one of our neighbours that we distributed through a “guess how many pinecones” game.
Neighbours came together to laugh, tell stories, and to share food. This was definitely a night to remember for our community! Thank you to the Richmond Neighbourhood Small Grants team for supporting our community event!
