This project took a little longer to get rolling than expected but once I set a date, we made it happen!
From creating a flyer to immediatly going door to door and giving all households on our street an invitation. 2 weeks later we had a organized pot luck style BBQ,
Weather thankfully held out but we were prepared to continue even in the rain!
Once people started showing up everyone got to meet eachother in a social setting and put a face to a house!
I am still having neighbors tell me how much fun they had!
When people are out for walks they know who is outside and people’s names so greeting eachother has increased and even encouraged further conversations.
Everyone is excited for the opportunity to do this again in the future.
